Subject	illegal to shave the third brake light?

Message	I was wanting to install a stillen type III wing on my tt, but I am not a fan of the n/a third brake light cover. I was going to fab up a metal plate to cover up the third brake light and make it blend in with the hatch. Im not sure if law requires a third brake light, so I was hoping someone on here would know. I live in Indiana. thanks -Rob
